Darin LaHood is a member of the U.S. House, representing Illinois' 16th Congressional District. He assumed office on January 3, 2023, and his current term ends on January 3, 2027.
 
A Peoria native, LaHood first entered Congress in September 2015 after winning a special election, originally representing the old 18th Congressional District in central and west-central Illinois. When redistricting shifted the map, he was drawn into the new 16th District and won election there in November 2022.
