Your representative in the U.S. House for the District of Columbia's At-Large congressional district (DC-AL) is **Eleanor Holmes Norton**. 

Because Washington, D.C., is a federal district and not a state, she serves as a **non-voting delegate** rather than a traditional voting representative. While she cannot vote on the final passage of legislation on the House floor, she can draft and introduce legislation, serve on and vote in congressional committees, and participate in party caucuses.

Delegate Norton has held this seat since 1991. In January 2026, she announced that she will not seek re-election and plans to retire at the end of her current term in early 2027.
