Your current U.S. Representative for California's 26th Congressional District is Democrat Julia Brownley, representing the South Coast area comprising most of Ventura County and a small portion of Los Angeles County, including cities like Camarillo, Oxnard, Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Moorpark, and part of Simi Valley.

Redistricting is in play. California passed Proposition 50 in 2025, which redrew congressional boundaries to make several districts more favorable to Democrats, but these boundary changes take effect starting with the next election — the current officeholder still represents you under the existing lines.

2026 is an election year for this seat. A top-two primary was held on June 2, 2026, with the general election set for November 3, 2026. So depending on how redistricting shakes out and who wins in November, this could change later this year.
